These terms cover velvethy.com and the advisory work offered through it. The site is a personal brand and consulting practice. It is not a product storefront, marketplace, or automated service.

Using the website
You may read, share, and link to public pages. Do not scrape the site at a volume that burdens hosting, copy the site as if it were your own, or use the content to train a commercial model without written permission.
Site content is for general information. It is not legal, tax, investment, or regulated professional advice, and it is not an offer to start work.
Advisory work
Consulting, architecture, and fractional product-ownership work start only after both sides agree in writing — typically a proposal, statement of work, or engagement letter. That document controls the scope, fees, timeline, and deliverables. These website terms do not replace it.
Email, a call, or a form enquiry is a conversation, not a contract. We may decline work that is a poor fit, conflicts with an existing engagement, or would require us to name a confidential client.
Fees and expenses
Fees, payment terms, and expenses are set in the written engagement. Unless that document says otherwise, invoices are due as stated on the invoice, and late payment may pause the work.
Confidentiality
We treat client information as confidential and expect the same in return. Flagship work described on this site is anonymized and rounded on purpose. Do not ask us to disclose a client's name, internals, or protected material.
A signed NDA or engagement letter, when it exists, sits above this page.
Intellectual property
The site — copy, design, photographs, and marks — belongs to the operator unless a credit says otherwise. You get a limited license to view it.
Work product from an engagement belongs as the written agreement says. The default posture of this practice is client-owned delivery: memory, tools, skills, and knowledge stay with the client when that is what we agree. Pre-existing methods, frameworks, and public writing remain ours.
No warranty on the site
We take care with what we publish, but the site is provided as is. We do not warrant that pages are complete, current, or fit for a particular decision. Field notes on the blog are working notes, not guarantees.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from using the website alone — including decisions made on public articles or case summaries.
For paid work, liability is limited as the signed engagement says. If that agreement is silent, liability is limited to the fees paid for the engagement that gave rise to the claim, except where the law does not allow a limit (for example, intent or gross negligence).
Third parties
The site may link to LinkedIn, Cloudflare, or other third-party pages. Those services have their own terms. We do not run advertising or third-party analytics on the public pages.
Changes
We may update these terms when the practice or the site changes. The date at the top is the current version. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms. Signed engagement documents are not changed by an update to this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Courts in Prague have jurisdiction, unless a signed engagement names a different forum.
